The Fugitive from the Territorial Pen

After two years on the run, a Lewis County killer is returned to custody.

In 1882 John Inson killed A. J. Leonard in Lewis County, Washington Territory, and was sent to the Territorial Penitentiary for a term of years. Sometime since, Inson made his escape and officers have been searching for him ever since. On Tuesday he was arrested by Sheriff Seard, and yesterday he went back to his old quarters to serve out his term, provided he can be kept there.

“Yesterday he went back to his old quarters to serve out his term, provided he can be kept there.”
