Tacoma Tigers Sweep Seattle

The hometown baseball team clinches their hold on the league's top spot after a hard-fought double-header victory against the Seattle squad.

The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

The Tigers clinched their hold on the top of the Pacific National League by taking a double-header from the antiquated Seattle bunch. Fitzgerald was in the box during the forenoon game at Seattle, against Charley Hall, and the mighty Overall took the local aggregation into camp again here in the afternoon. Both games were stubbornly hard-fought. At Seattle, the score was 5 to 0 in favor of the local team. Here it was 4 to 2. The games were practically errorless. It looked like another shut-out until a man trotted up to the plate and slammed out a home run. The winning of the series is fully appreciated by Tacoma fans.
