City Rejects Wright Park Museum Proposal

Tacoma's park board unanimously denies historical society's bid for a new building.

The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

The Ferry Museum and the State Historical Society will not be granted a site in Wright Park for the large building they contemplate putting up. The park board last night unanimously decided to refuse the request for the building site. The board made a report for the last six months of park work showing the expenses for the six months were $26,904.35. The old board spent in the same months in 1907 $45,298.56.
