Daring Hotel Burglar Bound Over for Trial

After being caught in the act at the Lansing Hotel, a young suspect who made a brazen escape from police is headed to court.

The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

Jo Kristensen Brodine, alias John Kristensen, the young man who was caught in the act of burglarizing rooms in the Lansing hotel, and who made a daring break from police officers while being led to the court a few days later, was bound over to the superior court yesterday afternoon by Police Judge Arntson in bonds of $1,000. He will be tried before Criminal Judge Basterday in March.

“The young man who was caught in the act of burglarizing rooms... and who made a daring break from police officers.”
