The Race to Finish Tacoma’s Stadium

High school stadium construction accelerates to meet an August deadline.

In order to finish the high school stadium contract by August 15, the time specified, day and night work has been begun by the Western Engineering company, and from now until the completion of the work double shifts will be worked on the remodeling of the gulch. Already the huge amphitheater has assumed the rough shape of a horseshoe, which shape it will have when completed, and the banks are being smoothed down in preparation to laying the concrete steps that are to serve as seats.

“Already the huge amphitheater has assumed the rough shape of a horseshoe.”
