A Perilous Encounter in Wide Hollow

A woman is severely injured after an encounter with an enraged animal on her property.

The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

Mrs. W. Maywald, who lives in Wide Hollow, met with a painful and serious accident on Friday last. She was trying to separate a cow from a calf, when the enraged animal knocked her down and jumped on her, breaking the poor woman's nose and a bone in her arm. Dr. Heg was summoned and dressed the injuries.

“The enraged animal knocked her down and jumped on her.”
