The Old Todd Pumping Plant Dismantled

A piece of local history fades as scrap dealers dismantle the engine that once fueled the ambitious, struggling White Bluffs irrigation project.

A junk firm in Seattle has bought the larger gas engine and some of the other equipment in the old Todd pumping plant that in early days furnished, or attempted to furnish, water to those under the White Bluffs Irrigation company project. A couple of men have been busy this week dismantling the engine and otherwise preparing their purchase for shipment.
