Tragedy off the Coast of Camano Island

A party of loggers discovered the bound body of a Chinese man near the southern end of Camano Island, pointing to a brutal crime.

The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

A party of Stanwood men, Austin Oars, Ed Joie and William Styles, were out last Monday picking up logs in the Sound. While in the vicinity of the southern end of Camano island they found the body of a Chinaman with its hands and feet firmly bound with a rope. It seems very probable that a murder of an atrocious character has been committed somewhere and by some one.
