Police Capture Burglary Ring Near Interbay

Four suspects were apprehended without a struggle in Seattle, though police found no evidence linking them to recent high-profile hotel robberies.

The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

John King, Clyde Brownfield, Thomas Fay and John Reynolds, a gang of alleged burglars, were captured by the police near Interbay yesterday. The men were taken without resistance. Chief Delaney, accompanied by three detectives, made the arrest, bringing the burglars to the city jail handcuffed together. A vast amount of plunder was secured by the officers, but nothing that would connect the gang with the Washington Hotel robbery was found.

“The men were taken without resistance.”

Interbay remains a central logistical point in Seattle, though its transformation from a site of police dragnets to a hub of urban industry and modern development reflects the city's shifting character.
