An Honest Find in the Snow

A local laborer, despite his own poverty, turns in a lost gold watch to the police.

Frank Jones, a laborer living at the Chicago House, appeared at the police station this morning with a lady's gold watch and fob, which he had found in the snow at North Fourth and J streets. When questioned at the station, Jones admitted that he was in straightened circumstances, but that he was honest enough to give up property which did not belong to him.
