Train Scare on the Highlands Road

A passing train frightens a team of horses, resulting in a dangerous carriage spill for two local orchard workers.

What might have proven a serious accident occurred recently when John Mounsey and Melissa Moeller were returning from their work of apple packing on the Highlands. Their horse became frightened at a passing train and ran, throwing the occupants of the rig to the ground and stunning them, but without serious results, although John was laid up for a day.

“Their horse became frightened at a passing train and ran, throwing the occupants of the rig to the ground.”
