The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

James Kelly, aged 25, was found dead Monday morning fourteen miles below Pomeroy, with his spine broken. He had been killed the night before. Kelly was in Pomeroy Sunday and started for home, driving a spirited team. About dark he was seen with the team running away, while he was endeavoring to stop it. The wagon was found overturned near the man's body.
