A runaway freight car collision resulted in $20,000 worth of damage.
Eight cars were wrecked at siding No. 28, near Wenatchee, on the Great Northern road, at 8:30 o'clock this morning. A brake chain holding four freight cars on the siding snapped, letting the cars run down to the main track. Here they struck a train of four cars, smashing them and knocking the engine off the track. Only one person was seriously injured, but all the cars were splintered. Damage, $20,000.
