The story, cleaned up

A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.

Henry Sudbrink, one of the earliest settlers of the Colville Valley and a resident of Marcus, came to Colville yesterday to settle debts. While in the sheriff's office, Sudbrink fell to the floor and was discovered to be suffering from an epileptic fit. The bachelor, aged about 60, stated he has been subject to these fits for the past six months. He said his aim now is to straighten up his business so there would be no trouble over his estate in case he were suddenly taken off in one of his spasms. His wealth is variously estimated at from $40,000 to $50,000.

“It was his aim at this time to so straighten up the business that there would be no trouble over his estate in case he should be suddenly taken off.”
