A Faculty Feud Shakes Olympia Collegiate Institute

Students and faculty were assembled to hear Rev. Dr. Ford explain a dispute between two instructors; Professor Jones resigned and two students were dismissed for “unbecoming conduct.”

All of the students and faculty of the Olympia Collegiate Institute were called together this morning and were addressed by the Rev. Dr. Ford, who reviewed in detail the recent difficulties which have arisen between two of the faculty. Professor Jones has resigned, and two of the students, Freeman King and W. H. P. Redinger, have been dismissed for unbecoming conduct. The vacancy of Professor Jones will be temporarily filled by Professor Royal and R. Ford until a permanent instructor can be secured.
