Newly refurbished and under fresh management, Snohomish's premiere lodging house promises first-class accommodations for the burgeoning river town.
The story, cleaned up
A cleaned-up reading of the newspaper page: spelling and layout repaired, one story lifted off a crowded page. It follows the original closely but it is not a transcription. The original page is below; read it if a detail matters.
H. W. Light, having recently leased this convenient and well-known hotel building for a term of years and refitted it in good style, begs leave to inform the community that they are now prepared to accommodate the public. They propose keeping a strictly first-class hotel. The table will be supplied with the best the market affords. First quality of wines, liquors, and cigars always on hand. Every attention will be shown for the convenience of the patrons of this house.

The Riverside Hotel was a cornerstone of Snohomish's early civic life, serving travelers and laborers arriving by riverboat. Today, Snohomish continues to struggle with the balance of providing adequate housing for a growing population while maintaining the historical character of its riverfront district.
