Seattle High School Defeats the Shamrocks

West Seattle hosted a gridiron clash between the high school team and the Shamrocks, ending in a hard-fought victory for the students.

The second eleven of the high school defeated the Shamrocks, of the Rainier school, at West Seattle yesterday by a score of 20 to 6. The high school eleven scored three touchdowns in the first half, but in the second the contest was more even. Prink, Dods and Scurry played a good game for the high school. Jackol did all the playing for the Shamrocks, securing the only touchdown for them by repeated rushes through the center. The time was two thirty-minute halves. P. A. Ford, of the state university, umpired the game satisfactorily and Prof. Davison, of the high school, acted as referee. The two elevens will play again New Year's day.

“Jackol did all the playing for the Shamrocks, securing the only touchdown for them.”
